Mr. the Disembodied Voice is the oldest Jigsaw character. Predating even Milton and Kranium. The first character to arise from the Jigsaw NYC weekly email, primarily as a sarcastic embodiment of section headers. Literary devices, for me, often end up developing personalities.
Anyway, now the plan is obvious. Were you to look at my giant “to-do list” whiteboard here in the studio, you’d see over in the Jigsaw column an item reading “M-F vlog project ‘season π’.” Next to it, added later, “FEB”, with a sloppy rectangle. Been in the brain for a while now, and despite two jobs, three shows, and an illustration gig that’ll take up half the month, I’ve decided to move forward. Because dammit, there are exactly 20 weekdays in February, which makes it the perfect month for a weekday experiment like this.
That said, there is every possibility that I will fall flat on my face.
I might miss a day. I might get two weeks in and quit. Slumdog might win 9 Oscars and force me to work doubles at the theater, making it impossible to make anything for a week. Who knows. All I know is that I’ve now publicly made a commitment to attempting a video every weekday in February, so I’ma do my damn’dest to make it so. If only because (d) doesn’t think it’s possible, and proving him wrong is always a joy.
In any case, at least I’ve got season 3 finished. Which means I can archive a few gigs of material to the external drive for safe keeping. Always a plus.
